It is not only a very durable and affordable option to choose, but vertical window blinds are also quite easy to clean. Once the blinds are installed, chances are one does not have the time to continuously take them down to clean, as one would have to do with curtains. Blinds can be easy cared for and cleaned while they are installed. Caring for blinds is simple, but the easy way to avoid having to take them down often is to perform regular cleanings, possibly once a week they should be dusted. This can help the blinds keep its lustre and effectiveness.

Cleaning vertical window blinds are not as difficult as some may think, and it does not take long at all. The task can be done quickly, without much of a hassle or time consuming. As long as weekly care has been maintained, then the blinds should be pretty simple to clean with just a vacuum hose. IF the blinds have fabric on them, then an upholster brush would suffice. Otherwise a regular duster brush is fine. Each slat should be vacuumed on both sides, to ensure the dust is removed. Cleaning should always be done from top to bottom.

After vacuuming the blinds, they should be then dusted with a feather duster. Which should be fairly quick. For any stuck on or hard to remove dust or dirt, then a damp cloth can be used to gently remove the grime. Again this should not be hard, or take much time. For cloth blinds, hard to remove stains should be taken to a professional for them to care for. This should not be doe often. Maybe once a year, or the very least the other year.

Regular cleaning and maintenance of vertical window blinds is not hard at all. But to maintain its usefulness, care should be exercised to ensure the blinds last long, and look their best. There should not be harsh solvents used on the blinds, and if a stain is too hard to remove on non-cloth blinds, they can be washed in a tub of water. Otherwise, there should not be much cleaning if they are cleaned or dusted often.
